For as long as I can remember, property investing has had the unmistakable reputation of being the most reliable way of creating wealth for one’s self and for providing shelter for another. Being a property investor provides a massive benefit to the community. There are many people out in our communities that either choose to or are required to rent. Without property investors, this would not be possible and the government could not possibly fund the number of properties needed.
The first thing you notice about Property is that it becomes more expensive as the years go by. It’s a well-known fact. But why do prices go up?
It may surprise you but it’s as simple as “supply and demand”.
We have a limited supply of land (one planet) and the population on the planet continues to increase (currently at 7,200,000,000 people) and so long as people require some form of housing as shelter, property (land) will continue to rise in value.
So, it’s population growth that drives up prices.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, our population is currently growing by one new person every 1 minute and 23 seconds. That means 1,041 new people every day, 379,965 new people every year.
These people need somewhere to live.
Some would be newborn and would be living with their parents in their existing homes. Others would be newborn and living with parents that would be requiring their own home (rented or owned) and others would be immigrants requiring their own home (rented or owned).
Property Investors needed.
Many people can’t afford to purchase their own homes but still, require shelter for themselves and their family. For these people, the opportunity to rent a property from a property investor is a welcomed relief. This provides the required shelter for the tenant and provides income for the property investor. A win/win. In fact, there are many people that win from you being a property investor. The builders, the tradespeople, car dealers, tools suppliers, building product suppliers, the government, it goes on and on. The fact that you are willing to purchase a property for someone else to live in has massive benefits for the country, it’s no small thing.
Yes, you can make money out of investing in property, but that’s a pretty narrow point of view. I hope you can see that it’s more than just a money making venture, it’s really the right thing to do if you are in a position to do it.
